Sporting activities around the globe are one of the social and economical activities that have suffered a major blow due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
For a long time now with the suspension of football leagues around the world to mitigate the spread of the virus, many have lost in terms of revenues and even that spirit of sportmanship has gone down.
The international sports arena and even the local ones have been affected. For instance the many local players that play in leagues out of the Kenyan borders had to stay out of the environment they are used to in terms of training and getting used to the climate of those areas during the quarantine period.
The other impact of this pandemic was vivid during the gradual opening of sport activities where we have had several major events that did happened with no fans. Something that would never have been imagined before. Sometimes what makes or breaks the players is that loud chear of the audience. One would really give his/her best shot on the pitch just because the don’t want to dissapoint their fans.
An example of an event that is happening without the presence of the fans is the amazing English Premier League and so many European Leagues. Back to Kenya, the FKF premier league formally the KPL is also under the pressure of going on without the fans on the pitch.
To some extent this reality hits hard and chances are that so many people in the sporting industry are traumatized by the happenings. Player are demoralized and the end would be poor performance
